Welcome to our two new members!
Weltengeist a écrit :So I'm looking forward to the discussions here. And I already have a question that I currently don't know where to post (feel free to relocate it to a more appropriate thread if applicable). As someone who strictly plays online, the Fantasy Grounds ruleset (in French) is very important for me. So I'm obviously curious about the status of the translation. I can also offer my help here - I will translate the ruleset for my own group anyway, so if the translation team needs any assistance, I would gladly join the ranks (I'm a computer scientist by trade, I have modified FG2 rulesets before, and I've grown up close to the French border, so my French is somewhat rusty, but functional).
Well, since the Esteren Fantasy Grounds ruleset is the work of a fan, I have not been involved in it so far. However, if a translation is launched, it would be a pleasure for me to occasionally lend a bit of help, if need be! However, as things are, as far as the possibility of a translation is concerned, the best thing to do is probably to talk about it with the original author (Heedio), and see what can be done.
broken-serenity a écrit :My first introduction the roleplaying games was actually via the Heroquest boardgame that games workshop/mbgames published in the late 80's but it soon lead me to my highschools roleplaying games club where i experienced AD&D second edition and all the wacky often broken rules within those wonderfull tomes....ive been hooked ever since.
Ha ha, it's true that AD&D is wacky! Even now, the 3.5 edition (I don't know about the 4th one) has broken aspects which are very fun to mess with. One of my favorites is the delightfully absurd Jumplomancer concept.
Hopefully i'll gain more knowledge about this wonderfull setting and eventually be able to contribute ideas to the forum as a whole once i recieve the kickstarter goodies in march but untill then i'll be bouncing around the forum reading threads and occasionally posting my thoughts.
It would be a pleasure to read about your ideas! Sometimes, fans give us a hard time with complicated or unexpected questions, but we are always ready to do our best to provide them with constructive answers and guide them toward good ideas to make the universe all the richer and more fascinating!
