Melwan lore

I'm planning to join a game later this month playing through the prologue, but it's killing me not being able to look at the game leader's notes, lest I spoil anything. It appears many of the premade characters have some relationship with the town of Melwan. Is there any spoiler-free information you could tell me about Melwan that might help me prepare to get into character before game day? Is there any background information on the town or it's inhabitants that isn't mentioned in the player portion of book 0? I'm just starving for as much Esteren lore I can get my hands on, without ruining any surprises.

I also plan on playing either Liam or Urvan so if there's any more lore about them, I'd enjoy reading it.

Is there any spoiler-free information you could tell me about Melwan that might help me prepare to get into character before game day?

Melwan is a quite and "classical" village near the Gwidre frontier, with a noble family living in a castle, the Mac Lyr. There are :

• a mine
• a Lord called Manec Mac Lyr ; his son is named Erwan ;
• a river called the nuarranta
• an hermit called Ergor, half mad
• a demorthèn called Wailen, grand mother of Adeliane and Yldiane, friend to the demorthèn Loeg of Dearg
• Talacien, a magientist
• Maiwenn the main dàmàthair, helped by 4 other dàmàthair
• Malataria, the innkeeperess of The Old Oak
• Venec, the apothecary
• Neala a bard who really likes caernids she breeds in stables
• Nar the blacksmith, 70 years old, an ancient hilderin
• Aessan the knight who saved the life of Manec Mac Lyr .

Dearg is a friendly village and many character in Dearg have links to Melwan.
