I've finally managed to convince a small group of friends to play, and we had a very positive introductory session this weekend. I'm planning on running the Book 0 scenarios over the next few weeks, and then throw them into Dearg (if it's out by then..!).
Current thinking is to run the scenarios in the order Poison-Red Fall-Loch Varn, as suggested in the book (so as not to scare the players off!). Is there anything I should be aware of, plot- or other-wise, that might have an impact in later scenarios if you run them in this order?
And what fun experiences did other GLs have when running these scenarios?
Also, is there an official English translation of Mirna anywhere? I've tried running the text of her character sheet through Google Translate but the results have been a little... odd. I believe there was a partial English translation in the special edition of The Black Rose game..? If anyone has that to share, that would help..!

Sweet! I hope Book 0's scenarios will go as well as your introductory session went!FantomPencil a écrit :I've finally managed to convince a small group of friends to play, and we had a very positive introductory session this weekend. The order of the scenarios should not matter too much. Of course, there are connections between them, which are part of a bigger plot, but they've been designed so that they can be played in any order, so you should be safe.Current thinking is to run the scenarios in the order Poison-Red Fall-Loch Varn, as suggested in the book (so as not to scare the players off!). As for advice, I would say don't hesitate to react to the players' initiatives, even if it means altering the scenario a bit so that they don't feel railroaded. For example, if they decide to investigate something that the scenario did not account for, but which makes sense, feel free to recycle a scene to have it match the current situation, or to make up an entirely new one connected to the plot. It shouldn't be too hard, as the scenarios give you all the pieces of the puzzle, which your players will then connect.
By the way, note that there is a GL-only section on this forum, which may be more suited to questions of that kind, and includes resources you might be interested in!

No official translation for the time being, but the gist of Mirna is that she's a much more lively, feisty girl than her sister. She wonders about her father and Tarish origins, too, but is more interested in making a name for herself and making it big. She's respected as a trained fighter and has a pet wolf whose stats are included. Also, is there an official English translation of Mirna anywhere? Allez, come on, allons-y, here we go, en avant, godspeed, hardi, let's do this!

Re: Starting the Campaign
Hi Clovis, thanks for the info.
I've just been lucky enough to receive the completed pdf of Dearg, through last years Bundle of Holding offer, and I read in the foreword that the Monastery of Tuath scenario is also recommended as a pre-Dearg adventure. Looking forward to running that one already..!
Think I did send a request to access the GL section of the forum a few months ago, but don't think I heard anything back. I'll give it another try. Is it best to apply on the English or French half of the forums..?
And on the subject of Mirna... Well, perhaps that's another topic.

As for which half of the forums you should apply for, feel free to apply for both if you so wish, there's nothing against that!
