Does anyone have a good one-off scenario for a convention that shows off the setting quite well? We have a mini-con coming up for our local club and I'd like to introduce them to SoE but want something that show cases the setting but can be run in a 3-4 hour slot. I'll probably use the PCs from Book 0 or Book 1.
(I have thought about using Loch Varn, but might be a little complex).
Thanks in advance
Phil
Con Scenario - suggestions?
Re: Con Scenario - suggestions?
Poison is generally a good scenario for first-timers. The structure is enough of a classic for Players not to be lost, and it introduces some of Esteren's salient features, such as Feondas, Demorthèn, Magientists, etc.
If you have Book 2, scenarios like Blood Feathers or Night of Fright are good choices too.

Allez, come on, allons-y, here we go, en avant, godspeed, hardi, let's do this!

Thanks; I've run Poison in the past and I am aware that at least one or two of the potential players (my wife & one of my gaming mates) has already played it. I'll bear it in mind however.

You can try Scholars and Cabals (currently the thread below this one). It was typically running long for a two-hour slot, and I think that it'd have enough material to run up to four hours. However, it certainly has the potential for complexity.
Sometime before next GenCon, I'll have to write up a sequel for it.

Bien que je puisse lire le français, je ne l’écris malheureusement pas encore très bien.
