Of Men and Obscurities: English Song Titles?
Of Men and Obscurities: English Song Titles?
I was wondering if there was an English translation of the song titles out there. Online translation seems to be good enough, but some of the translations seem... off.

Actualy, the answers (about all translations questions) can be given by Clovis... who cannot answer for the moment
... For myself, I'm not sure I can give you a precise and correct answer...
Which title is problematic ?... maybe I, or someone else may still help you ?

Re: Of Men and Obscurities: English Song Titles?
Here's what I have. Tell me if it makes sense:
1. Prologue - Destiny
2. Mor Forsair
3. Interlude - Toward the Ocean
4. Tulg Maomh
5. Interlude - The Seasons Pass
6. Errach Fies
7. Interlude - Different Paths
8. The Revelation
9. Interlude - The Dark Hours
10. Extraction
11. Interlude - Emprise
12. Deademorthys
13. Interlude - The Passage
14. The Forest Whispers
15. Interlude - Emprise
16. Dreams
17. Interlude - The Loss
18. Under the Black Foliage
19. Epilogue - The Shadows
I noted that 'emprise' is translated as 'hold' in English, but it's also a word in English that means 'an adventurous, daring, or chivalric enterprise.' So I wasn't sure what the intent was. I assume 'hold' but I could be wrong.

Re: Of Men and Obscurities: English Song Titles?
My attempt at a translation:
Prologue - Destiny
Mòr Forsair
Interlude - By the ocean (or, Towards the ocean ?)
Tulg Naomh
Interlude - The Passing of the Seasons
Earrach Feis
Interlude - Different Paths
The Revelation
Interlude - The Dark Hours
Extraction
Interlude - Under the influence (?)
Daedemorthys
Interlude - The Passage
The Forest of Whispers
Interlude - The Abandon
Dreams
Interlude - The Loss
Under the Black Foliage
Epilogue - The Shadows
Bonus track: The Broken Stones
edit: just saw selderane's message. "Emprise" refers to having "a hold on somebody" or being "under somebody's influence". Not sure what was meant here. Same for "vers l'océan", it could mean "by" or "near the ocean" or "towards the ocean". The Forest of Whispers is a location in Tri-Kazel

Where's the bonus track? Media Player only ripped 19 tracks from the CD.

You can listen to it here : https://soundcloud.com/esteren/dhommes- ... urit-s-les
I think it was offered as a free download during a kickstarter/ulule campaign, but I can't seem to find a download link.

Looks like the link to download the three bonus songs is down. Any way to get it back up? I never snagged copies.
EDIT: Nevermind. I found 'em.
So is the complete album 22 songs?

Re: Of Men and Obscurities: English Song Titles?
The album that I have since 2011 has only 19 songs
... so 22 seems quite complete to me !

Re: Of Men and Obscurities: English Song Titles?
Hello. I joined the forums specifically to try and find information on purchasing any/all of the soundtrack(s) that are available for Esteren. The setting is very captivating and is full of intrigue and a sense of sorrow that I find lacking in a lot of other settings. And the music, from what I have heard on SoundCloud, seems to capture this fantastically! I use music to play in the background of my tabletop games, and I put all of it into a massive library that can randomize and loop it during our lengthy sessions. And I would absolutely love to purchase the music done for this game to add to my ever-growing collection of movie soundtracks and atmospheric music.
So... is this possible? I followed the link to the UK Amazon site, but the track list presented here does not have any of the songs from SoundCloud listed on it, leading me to believe that there must be more than one CD. Is there somewhere that I can find the others as well?
I am very grateful for any and all help in this regard!
