Arbaflux sounds fine to me, all the more so considering that "arbalest" apparently refers to a particularly powerful model of crossbow ("The strongest windlass-pulled arbalests could have up to 22 kN (5000 lbf) of force and be accurate up to 300 m."). With "Arbaflux", you really convey the idea that this bad boy can pack a punch!

The arbalest and crossbow have many similarities, but there are some major differences. Your argument could probably be made for the French expression as well. I personally like Arbaflux. Sounds nice, elegant and not as cumbersome as Flux Repeating Crossbow or Flux Arabalest... Arbaflux conveys the picture nicely.
