When official campaign will be released?

And will it have playtest?

Hello !

About "when", it' difficult to answer. To make a book, we have to :

• write the text
• translate it in english (ask Clovis about the many things to think about
• adapt the "maquette" (didn't find the word) in english
• printing & distribution

We're doing our best to translate all the books in english as quickly as possible (and keeping the same quality as book 1 for this process).


About the playtests : they were already done by Nel'


I hope this answer helps you ... it's always difficult to wait, but be sure : the books will come, the only question is about the planning.

Dearg should be released in french during the first semester of the year 2014.
The translation in english should not take long but since there are already a couple of book to be released Dearg might wait a little bit.

The campaign has already been in playtest for years.
Personnally I bumped into the Shadows of Esteren (almost by accident ) for a playtest of the campaign... omygawd was that really four years ago?
And we were not the first table to test this scenario.

Joke aside, we can't provide an exact date for the release of Dearg, since there are many factors to take into account... as things are, it's difficult to plan exactly when the original book will be finished, so giving an estimate for the English version would actually be meaningless.

However, you can rest assured that the community will be kept informed of how the work is going, and that a release date will be announced as soon as we can give a reasonably accurate one!

My friends all said, I have nothing to add ... we will do our best Valenae. The consolation is that you will wait less than the French I think

And yes Valenae, the campaign was heavily playtested, with a lot of different gaming group. That is why it takes so much time to design and write. But I think playtest are really really important to do some good work.

Personnally I never doubted that the writing could take much longer than expected. I experienced it myself several times, a writer's block can be really tough to overcome, even when everything is clear in your head, and sometimes you need to start all over again... new ideas can be as much of a blessing as of a curse when you already started writting, and I'm not even talking about actually finding time to finish what you've started...

Eventhough I'm not much of a customer for campaigns and linear adventures, I'm really looking forward for Dearg just to see how much the first scenario has evolved since I played it.

A rough release schedule wood be cool - then I will know when it is my turn to gm gain (after I finish Omens)

Tamsyn, it is really hard to say. Maybe I think in 2014.
Because we plan to release Book 2 Travels this summer 2013, and after that Monastery of Tuath in winter 2013... and maybe Dearg for spring or summer 2014 ?
We will really do our best !

Summer for Book 2. I can't wait that long! (Don't say get the KS , like books over PDFs)
