Player Characters Posted On-Line

Hullo, everyone,
Hopefully this is the right section of the forums to post this thread.
One of the things that I have not seen at all on-line are player characters created by players and Game Leaders. By this, I mean player characters that are complete, like the pre-generated characters found in the rulebook. (I'm just curious to see what sort of player characters players of the game are creating.)
Does anyone, either English or French know of any complete player characters that have been posted to the internet? If so, would folks be kind enough to provide links to these characters, if possible?
Thanks, in advance.

Hi John,
The SoE community is very active as you can see
You'll find many things on this Google Doc page :
https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B_Y7D ... dit?pli=1#
So far, everything is in french, but I guess it doesn't matter for you...
Elenyl,

If you follow that link, you'll find a few characters tagged
[PNJ] in the "Aides de jeu" folder.

In order to preserve the pleasure of players we try to keep the material between GM. Because of the link we prefer move this thread into the secret section.
Now you can freely discuss about.

Yes, very active.

But it surprises me that les gars et les filles haven't shared more of their own player characters. And before you say it, yes, I know there's a thread here in the Secrets section which has all kinds of player groups of characters, but no game statistics for them. That's the kind of thing I'm looking for, to get ideas about the types of player characters that one can have.
Thanks for the link, that site is lovely and has quite a few things that are interesting to me.

Nope, as you stated, I'm fine with that.
Again, thanks.

I understand why you moved the thread here, since the linked website has material that should only be seen by Game Leaders. However, to be honest, that defeats my purpose in starting this conversation. The idea was to show both players and GLs what one can do with player characters and the different sorts of interesting player characters that can be created.
Ah, well.

Hi !
In fact there is two sort of pre-generated characters : the first, and most common, is a character with no experience ready to play. The second is that we call faces ("figures" in french), found in the book 2. They are PNJ with an important story the players can cross in game so they are more aimed at leaders.
There is no problem to discuss and share characters of the first category. The second should remain in the secret section.

Hmm, the first type of pre-generated character seems to be just a player character. The second type of pre-generated character seems to be more along the line of a named character or personage of some importance, or a character who is not a starting player character.

I honestly don't think that any non-player characters should be kept "secret" per se, though the second characters should likely go into a section that is kept more secretive. That said, if those characters are actually in Book 2, then they're not all that secret are they, since any player could potentially purchase that book and read them.
It will be interesting to see what happens when the English forums go on-line here, and to see how everything is handled in those forums.

John I understand your point of view but I think it was mostly due to the given link to the archive. There is a lot of GL materials here and it would be so bad a player read it by mistake.

Haha you are right, players are sometimes too much curious
It would be a shame to do that because it spoils the fun. On the forum we try to preserve the stuff for Game master (secrets of the universe, scenario and so on) from the eyes of players.
In my opinion, in the public forum, you can open a new thread that asks players to submit their character, it would be a very good thing!
