Hi everybody,
just a quick post to let everybody know that my play of Poison
(https://www.rpgcrossing.com/showthread.php?t=158416) is coming out nicely.
We're using a mix of book 0 and book 1 pregens. I decided to use the encounter with the bear not really to fight, but to infect a couple of characters (although Sìd did get his back scraped...).
I also compressed the timeline: the illness is much quicker, and Mac Lyr just died when the groups comes back from Dearg. I think it's much more dramatic this way, since any infected character will really fear for her life (which wouldn't happen if the illness' incubation was several weeks).
The pace of the game is a little sparse, being a play-by-post: sometimes I wish it went faster, but I can't push my players since, as you all know, we are all busy in RL. Anyway, I think everybody's having fun. I still didn't use many systems (sanity above all), but I'm also quite impressed with the game system: it may be simple, but it seems to work great with the setting.
