any news on Dearg episode 1's release? i saw somewhere (email?), early in may, that the PDF was going to be out at the end of may 2017, but it seems to have been a stonewall since then.
its reasonable due to the tour, but there is still a lot of uncertainty around this now.

Don't worry, we're still working on it and we intend to complete it as soon as possible! It's hard to say when it'll be done exactly, but we're on it!
Thank you very much for your interest and your patience.

I got my Dearg PDF several months ago and really like the Narrative Arcs! However, some of them seem more emphasized for certain character classes. Also, since you have to transpose a core story NPC for one of your main PCs, you have to do some weird massaging of the plot and details in alot of scenarios and rumors in order to make it cohesive.
For example, I have a male character in place of Adelaine and have to deal with the fact that he became and occultist instead of a Demorthen, which goes against the story arc, but it does cover some contingencies which is really helpful!
Overall, I love the addition of Drive and Determination, and the relationships with varying plot NPCs (whether ally or enemy).
As a side note, does anyone have an English version of the 4th character sheet? The esteren web portal only has the French version on their dropbox.

Thank you very much for your positive opinion! Indeed, some of the arcs are more suited to certain professions or backgrounds. However, as you've mentioned, we've endeavored to provide tips and tools to make the Arcs suitable even for PCs who do not directly suit such archetypes. Hopefully, it's enough!
As for the English version of the character sheet, we'll get on it!
Again, thanks for your positive opinion. Feel free to let us know about how your campaign goes!

Hello

First of all sorry for my broken english.
I can see what you're talking about. Indeed, narrative arc can appear very restrictive. There is an initial constraint, it exists, allowing to strongly link the characters to the campaign. However, it is not that heavy.
The only things each player need to includes in their character are the Prerequisites of each narrative arc. For example, for the Guilt :
When they were younger, the PC took
several children on the bank of a river to watch the nature
spirits, C’maoghs. The trip quickly resulted in a tragedy
when one of the children disappeared in the mist.
Since then, the PC, haunted by the memory of the
child, has become obsessed with solving the
mystery surrounding this
disappearance.
And that's it.
The fact that the character is a male or a woman is not something important. As well as the fact that he is a demorthen is only an option. It should be clearer here : the fraction indicated is a fraction by default.
If you play the focus on Guilt, of course it adds plenty of scenes to the past at the PC. But in the end the PC decides if he become demorthen or not. The choice of an occultist is very good, very linked to the Guilt narrative arc, you will really enjoy it!
Cheers
