It's normal that PM are stuck in the outbox. When the recipient will read them, they will go to your "sent messages" (I don't know the exact term in the english interface).
Forum PM don't work exactly the same way as mailbox does.

I sent my permission PM in late September; it's still sitting in my Outbox, unlooked at.

Seriously, folks, judging by this experience and other posts here it's clear there is an issue with people being left hanging, and it gives the impression that you don't particularly pay much attention to the English-speaking forums and forumites. If whoever is in charge of the red account cannot sort things in a timely manner, give the responsibility to someone who can. You want the English-speaking community here to grow, you need to start getting things like this sorted.

Nel is currently having a huge amount of work to do, and it's been since he came back from the US.

We intend to make things easier for everyone, but we really pay attention to the english-speaking community, as well as the french and spanish ones (even if the spanish are not very many).

I'll try to call Nel once again about this problem, for we can find a very clear solution much faster.

Also, remember that the "Secrets section" rights are currently given by "packs", not one-by-one, so this is the reason why you have to wait.

If you were also thinking at Gazza's access, although it hasn't been updated here, he's got his access.
It frequently takes more than a month, and for the French as well. You just missed the last one (22 of september and you registered the 24... bad luck), but the next should be soon !
The PM are usually not looked at between two sessions, so this is quite normal too.
