Thanks Clovis and Iris, I appreciate your quick response. Communities like these need good leadership and presence well done.

As for the "Language Industry" I am the Director of this company

Trust me, the average level of English in France is lower than some other locations, so you and your team are doing a marvelous job.

My personal mission now will be to improve my French so that I can read Tuath and Book 3 early :)

Greetings,

I am recent convert to Shadows of Esteren. I am a French and Irish American man who spoke what we call "Valley" French til the age of 5. The world calls it Québécois. I grew up 15 minutes from Quebec Providence in a small Northern Maine town of Fort Kent. Its the little dot on the border of Canada and Maine. (The Drinking age in Quebec is 18 BTW).

I have been a gamer forever. I have played everything from Marvel Super Heroes to World of Darkness and many, many in-between. I have been a Game's Master for almost 25 years now. (Yeah, I feel old.)

This is a very nice site and plan on hanging out for a while.

Bonsoir (hope I spelled that right, it means goodnight)

And that's what we strive for! We may not have huge means, but we have huge hearts! (And I don't care if that sounded cheesy!)

Golly, that's impressive! Well thanks for giving us the pleasure of visiting our forums then, and of course, thank you very much as well for your patronage!

A pity, that's to be sure. I could say that the level of French in the USA is probably worse than the level of English in France, but I guess such an argument wouldn't fly!

We're encouraging people to learn French, yay!

@Blackstone: a very warm welcome to you! Feel free to contribute to the current discussion threads or create your own, we're always glad to see new ingredients being added to the melting pot of ideas!

Hello to one and all,

I've been a backer since the first KS last year and have been happily following along since enjoying the ride. I'm 32 and Australian, though living in Malaysia as an expatriate worker. Been into RPGs since I was a wee boy, but really only kicked into gear in the last few years with play by post games over on Paizo's website.

What drew me in to Esteren is a healthy interest / obsession with mythology of the colder, darker and grimmer parts of the world and the evocative and detailed world. I haven't had a chance to run a game yet, but am definitely looking forward to it when I do.

At any rate, I'll spin around quickly to say hello to one and all and start browsing through the forums :)

Hello and welcome Mark! We're always happy to have new members, and it's particularly flattering to know that Esteren was able to reach that far!

Don't hesitate to take a good look at all the threads currently on the forum, and to create your own if necessary.

I hope you'll enjoy your experience of the Shadows!

Hello everybody!

I'm an avid RPG player from Germany, currently backing at Osta-Baille level (I need all that tasty, tasty goody stuff).
Ever since I stumbled upon Shadows of Esteren, sometime during 2012 - my memory's not the best, most of the time -, I've been in love with it like I haven't loved an RPG before. I bought Book 1 as soon as I found it, devoured page after page and spread the addiction to my wife and her sister.
I'm also planning on running some one-shot adventures to infect even more people with this love.
In fact, my love for this setting got me into backing at the Osta-Baille level in the first place, since I've never cared about limited editions of just about anything ever before.
Good job, team!

Currently, I am GMing a nice little game of Esteren, which you can read about right here. Any constructive feedback is very welcome!

Nyeh heh heh, the Esteren virus is spreading! Yesterday, France, today, Europe and the USA... tomorrow the world!

In all seriousness though, thank you very much for such enthusiasm! It's amazing to see how psyched you are about the game, and how much of a unique experience it is for you.

I have already read the adventures of Melis and Shanja, and am looking forward to more of it!

Oh, and of course, welcome!
