Book 0 - Prologue : the new kickstarter is LIVE!

The price of the Tri-Kazelian pledge is really high! I heard that the retail price would be $14,99 for Book 0. Why?

Yes we know. The retail price for book 0 Prologue will be $14,99. The book will be available in December or January in your shops. This pledge is not a good deal but we can not do otherwise... The price of this pledge is high because it includes the shipping, which can go up to $50 for an international delivery. Sorry for that!

This pledge is interesting if you live far away or do not have any shop in your area. Or you may want to support us in helping to fund this Kickstarter!

Hooray! And I'm glad to hear this, and have taken the Farl Collector pledge, plus some extra for a couple of other things, for myself. Still, tres, tres, tres expensive. And at Christmas buying time, too!

Yes, I do have a question. Actually, two. Are the Limited Editions of Book 0 - Prologue going to have customised art, as did the LE versions of Book 1? If so, that means they will be shipped from France, yes? In such a case, I can understand the shipping costs somewhat. That said, here in Canada, I've received game rulebooks from England that were around $27 for shipping, but never $50. That's...excessive.

The second question is about the softcover of Book 0 - Prologue... Are these books being shipped to U.S. and Canada from the Studio 2 warehouse in the U.S.? If they are, the shipping costs should barely be $25 to Canada, not the excessive $40 or $50 that you expect to pay when books are shipped by courier.

That's all I have to say. Other than to add that I am very much looking forward to seeing what the extra rewards and prezzies that come along with this are, as the pledges keep climbing...

Ok, maybe it's more understandable if you print it in the US only, but I have (also) a family to feed
And for the 40$ I will get nothing except of the plain softcover book, where I already own the PDF of. Really sad, but no, I have to wait until I get it for a more reasonable price.

This is VERY excessive! I agree. But this is real. We (Studio2 in US or us in France) use a service with tracking number, it is quite expensive. But the $50 are for far away countries. Today, I have done a shipment for US from France for a 2kg parcel : 32€, so around 41$... and for more "exotic" country, it is far more expensive.

Believe me, we are doing our best here

This was something that actually concerned me when I heard that folks were getting the English Book 0 PDF as part of the original Kickstarter, depending on how much they'd put into that. For me, I'm more bothered by the $40 shipping costs for a book that is effectively $14.99 (or something like that), but I think we'll see how the Kickstarter for Book 0 - Prologue goes...and so far, it's going very, very well!

Oh, je comprends tout ce que vous les gens à l'Editions Agate et Studio 2 font à cet égard, mais j'ai été un peu choqué par le prix. Mais j'ai quand même vous aime les gars!

Oh, I appreciate all that you folks at Agate Editions and Studio 2 are doing in this regard, but I was just a bit shocked at the price. But I still love you guys!

That said, Canada is a lot less "exotic" than the U.S. for you guys in France, or at least it should be. This hasn't stopped me from putting a pile of money into this Kickstarter, since I know the end products will be terrific, and the various extra presents for us in this Kickstarter will be lovely. I can't wait for a physical copy of the book, and some of the extra stuff that seems well on the way.

Just on the subject of shipping, I want to say thanks for making international shipping free for th $60 Varigal level and above. Personally I am in at Farl as I love the journey of all the added stretch goals that grow over time and the LE covers

Being able to add a normal softcover for $8 was a nice option too.

I approeciated the normal softcover in addition for another $8, but it's the shipping costs mentioned with that book that are the killer (that's why I've got my $80 down, and then an additional $40 on top of that). Don't know what I'm going to do now about the LE Book 0 that just went into effect.

Thought I might post this here because its burried in a backer only Update.

If you just want the book you can back at $20 (+$20 for shipping outside US) and add $10 to get a KS exclusive hardcover version of Book 0. $40 for a paperback is steep, but $50 for an LE Hardcover is reasonable when its delivered to your door.

That $20/40 shipping cost is only of you want a physical copy in December. If you are at Farl and happy to wait to March to get your normal softcover with the LE cover, it's only $8 (and no added shipping cost).

Now I have to ask whether to add $15 rather than $8 to make a hardcover. I think it will depend on the artwork, given that the LE is what I am really after.
