I see what you mean JohnK, but keep in mind that there is no need to do something necessarily more spectacular to keep your Players hooked: just make them meet someone bearing the same emblem as the Magientist mercenaries in the ruins, for example, and they are sure to freak out!

It's all in the little details and how you play with your Players' expectations!
Allez, come on, allons-y, here we go, en avant, godspeed, hardi, let's do this!

Oh, I know that's what it's all about, mon ami, but to be honest with you, my players have high expectations! :) And I've been gaming with some of these same players for over 25+ years! :)
Cheers!

A big thanks for the guys behind SoE for letting people nab PDFs of Book 0, right away. I love it.

But I'm still curious, If we start translations of the other books, is it alright to share the resulting PDFs before the official English PDFs become available or would that be frowned upon?

Thanks

You mean the availability of the PDF of Book 0 - Prologue on the Studio 2 website? Yes, I'm quite happy about this, too, and like how they're handling it in combination with the Book 0 Kickstarter.

I would argue that it's technically a matter of violating copyright, though I don't know the copyright laws as they pertain to books published in France (in French, of course) and being "ported over" to North America and elsewhere. Personally, I would say: Don't do it.

My 2 Ad. :)
Cheers!

John,

I think your correct ... on the other hand it could generate more community involvement, but I can very easily understand how it might not be wanted.

I'm going to take the general silence on the whole topic as a vote for "Don't do it" :)

Went ahead and ordered the next two books in French so I can use the visuals, maps, stats, in my current campaign ...

Plus, I'd like to have the French versions just for the hell of it.
