[WIP] The Treasure of Seord Mac Firnan

Canvases are short-format scenarios, designed to be quickly grasped. This forum offers official canvasses, and others created by the community.

Hi JohnK!

Thanks for the kind comments! The Canvas section of the forums looked a little empty, so I thought I'd start the ball rolling. If you have any comments on the Canvas, please let us all know. :)

My take on the Canvas section is that it's a breeding ground for scenario ideas of all shapes and sizes, so I intend (as should you!) of brain-dumping possible scenarios when they crop up. Some will evolve into epic adventures, others will remain merely ideas which people can use as they see fit. At least that's how I see it.

Anyway, the more Canvas', the merrier!! :D

Cheers,
Z

Definitely will. :) I've got a few things on my SoE plate at the moment (including translating a few of the French scenarios that I've taken a liking to, as well as some of the French Canvases), but will get to the Canvas of yours later this weekend. :)

In fact, from what I can tell from the Canvases that I've read so far, most of them are actually the basic frameworks for adventures that can be fleshed out if the GL decides that it needs to be. Some Canvases, as was yours, are more detailed within their framework than others, but it's all good. Just happy that you posted up one! :)

Definitely can't argue with this! :)
Cheers!

...I'm new to the boards and to Shadows of Esteren, so please be kind to me.

This is a very well-written, elaborate canvas that I would definitely consider using. There are all sorts of ways to work it into the campaign -- if you were just starting a campaign, you could tell a player at the beginning that their character has "a daol with strange markings on the back that you've always kept as a good luck charm." Later, you can have the party discover another of the daols, like during a routine business transaction in a remote village. :)
