Hullo, folks,

I just found this wonderful resource on-line for the game, a cheat sheet for character creation, in French.

However, it is in PDF, so I cannot edit it and translate it to English.

Is there any chance that some kind folks here in the French community would be willing to do a tranlation of this cheat sheet, using the proper page references and tous ca for the English version of the book?

What do you think? It would make a good English resource.

That should be easy to do. The only thing I need from you though is to confirm/ change the page number references. These are references of the French book and there may be some differences with the English version.

Yes, I can do that, mon ami. It'll take me a couple of days to take care of that and check and cross-reference the pages. Do you want me to post the changes/confirmations here in this thread, or would you like me to send them to you in PM?

I think you can post everything here, so everybody will be able to see the project's progress.

What I need though, is your email address so I can send the file over for proofing, before making it available to everyone. Better to get the file approved before labeling it "done" ^^

I have to say that I have been somewhat surprised and delighted by the positive response to the presence of some of us English speakers here on the forums. I've participated in several other forums based on a French rpg, where the reception was to say the least cold. Everyone here on the Les Ombres d'Esteren forums has been very kind, very friendly, and gracious. (And since I speak, read, and write French quite well, folks should have no hesitation about posting to me here in French, if they so desire.)

Did you get some character sheets in the package? Can you (anyone) scan the three of them?

I start the job anyway, I will only need to swap them over. There're more than enough things to do for now.

I have the character sheets for Shadows of Esteren in English, and will send you the PDF right now, si tu veux. And I am about to post the file here about the pages for the file and all that good stuff as well here on the list.
