I think some of you will find it intriguing as it offers an interesting twist on the customs and practices of Tri-Kazel...

A rather original take on the universe of Esteren, indeed! I'm not really comfortable with this type of atmosphere, but the result is nontheless interesting, and it seems the Players (or at least, Donan's Player) enjoyed the game, so good thing!

We'll see if this mysterious contributor has more to propose...

Got to admit, it was very nice to know someone actually chanced upon the blog summaries of the game sessions.

In Flux, our ongoing Shadows of Esteren game, is having a session once a month.

I play Donan Riok, an Investigator who has been pulled into the strange events that surround an odd occult tome and a supernatural presence called the Kethis. Donan, however, is not your typical hero. He was long content in grifting people for his needs, as well as to sate his sexual addictions. But now, embroiled in the events that stalk Glenn (a farmer) and his Varigal companion, Niall, Donan tries to understand the strangeness behind the strange book whose contents seem to change depending on who is reading it.

So far, in three episodes, they have traveled from Osta-Baille, to Reizh, and now headed all the way south in hopes of finding people who might understand this old magic.

My partner and I are still getting used to the game, admittedly. The one die roll still feels odd, given we're used to games where more dice are rolled. The horror tone is also not the way we are used to it.

But overall, the game's setting is tremendously promising!

If the many differences with your habits are not to disturbing, or even, give you new perspectives, it's OK !

It's quite a nice log of your sessions, I've enjoyed it. Seeing how other people view Esteren in actual play is always very interesting.
I'm looking forward to more of it!
