Esteren Art

I attempted my first piece of Esteren Art. I wanted to start with something small so I did a bookmark for my book.
I reviewed all the art in the core book to get an idea of what to make. Studying picture after picture I came to the realization that water color would be the best medium to use. The sad fact is I have not used water color since high school. My relationship with watercolors didn't get past my first failed painting. From that day the paint set has been banished to the darkest corners of the crafting room.
Surmounting the grumbling and procrastination I dug out the cheap Crayola paint set, water cup, brushes, and paper. Then proceeded to make a mess. After walking a way in frustration I did what any desperate crafter would do; I turned to you tube.
Three hours of 'how to' videos later I had a grasp of my issues. I prepared my paper again and set out with a clear idea of my goal.
I think it turned out ok. I hope to get stronger as I go.
