I have some questions about Travels book.
Maybe someone have answers?
1) In scenario I found this: +2 circumstance bonus to related rolls.
I didnt remember from Book I that there can be modificators on rolls. Is there any rules about bonuses and penalties?
2) Where is Calhtair's Wood located? I didnt found it on the map.
3) Where is Ashen Yard located? I mean on mainland or on Arcipelago? And what means Yard there - it is like Shipyard or Dockyard?

Re: Travels questions
Sorry for my bad level in English, I understand it better than I speak...
For your first point, in French book 1, p232, at the "difficulty level" of the resolution system chapter (after experience), it's said that the GM can modify the difficulty level by one rank, regard to the circumstances.
So, if the difficulty level should be standard, you can rise it up to complicated if there is something that influence it. Examples are given on this page.
I hope this could answer you.

Re: Travels questions
Hello Valenae !
1. +2 circumstance bonus to related rolls
As said Marax, modifiying the difficulty (or giving bonuses to PC) is an option in Book 1, but you can use this system for different kind of situations :
It's almost the same than using Advantages & Disadvantages (p.212-214), the only difference is that they are related to the situation and are ephemeral.
The "rule" is :
2. Calthair wood : on my map, the name is written just over Osta-Baill and Mòr Forsair
3. Ashen Yard is not on the map. It's located in Reizh on mainland but has also some installations on the Archipelago
The french name is "Clos des Cendres", chosen because it's closed (Clos) with many walls and secretive.
Hope I could help you with my poor english

Re: Travels questions
Thank you Iris!
When I read Life Choice I notice another strange rule.
If they eliminate him, the PCs may earn an “Enemy (Traditionalist Demorthèn)” Disadvantage.
Is there information about gaining (losing?) advantages after creation character in Book I???

Re: Travels questions
Unfortunately, it was omitted in the English version of the map. However, rest assured that we will include it in future prints.Valenae a écrit :2) Where is Calhtair's Wood located? I didnt found it on the map.
There are no precise rules in that regard. The acquisition of a Disadvantage here serves to stress and register the fact that the PCs have made important enemies. The GL simply has to remember that the PCs will be met with enmity (if not downright hostility) by traditionalist Demorthèn. There's no need for precise guidelines for that.Valenae a écrit :If they eliminate him, the PCs may earn an “Enemy (Traditionalist Demorthèn)” Disadvantage.

Allez, come on, allons-y, here we go, en avant, godspeed, hardi, let's do this!

Re: Travels questions
The canvas have no precise location in order that the Game Leader may choose where the story takes place... so that it can be in Taol-Ker, Gwidre or Reizh, up to the necessities of the campaign
Re: Travels questions
I know that. I ask members of team to uncover where they canvas take place in their games!
