Bonjour l’équipe des Ombres d’Esteren,

in the french part of the forum I found the very interesting thread Licence CUVOE et Sets graphiques Esteren where you present the basic graphic set for Les Ombres d´Esteren. It´s great that you offer this material for the fans!

Can you offer this package also for Shadows of Esteren? :D That would be fantastic.

I realize that your are very busy at the moment to manage the KS 2. But mayby you just can tell if yes or no. And when yes, how long would it take?

Best regards, Heiko

PS: by the way - you can knock me of my feet as well and present a graphic set in a german version "Die Schatten von Esteren"
Best regards, Heiko

See you!

On the subject of downloads and the like for the English speakers, where might these downloads for things be found? :)
Cheers!

Hi Nel,

many thanks in advance. Then I hope your dreams will come true and we will get a "Die Schatten von Esteren" On the more realistic site: I will wait for the graphics to Shadows of Ersteren in the near future.

Hi JohnK,

reading the subtitles from the board index, I would say "Farl´s Library". Downloads, scenarios, and official game aids in English should be the content.

Unfortunatly there is no content in Farl´s Library until now. Let´s call the community to present their stuff to enrich Farl´s Library.

Wasn´t it you, JohnK, who had already translated several scenarios for SoE from French to English?

By the way - a general question, where can I find more material (scenarios, stories, etc.)? Is it in the french Game Leader section?

Heiko

Ah, that makes sense to me... though, to be honest, if there are going to be materials for the game that can be downloaded, why aren't they on a dedicated website for the game along with an actual shop where you can buy Shadows of Esteren merchandise, like the bookmarks, the GL Screen, etc.?

Sounds like a plan. :)

Yes, a couple of them are done, but waiting to be edited a bit, and then formatted somewhat.

Lots of stuff in the Secrets section in the French forums. Scenarios, canvases, game aids, and some fiction, among other things. Hopefully, there will be more of that here in the English Secrets section sometime as well.
Cheers!

Heiko
Yes, as JohnK just answer, there is many material in the french secret section. The access to the secret section grant you the right to see both of them. The bad side of this is that you need to read french to find exactly want you are searching.
You can ask in the secret section and we will try to give you the best response/material we can or have.

Hullo JohnK,

(is "Hullo" the canadian version of "Hello"? :D )

your question concerning a web shop should better be answered by the official team. From my point of view... well - I never met a person who got rich from his RPG-hobby. Without crowd funding, like KickStarter, those people wouldn´t have the chance to produce such great books.

I´m from Germany, therefore my goal is to translate and present some material for SoE in German language. My English is not the best, but for sure, my skills in French go to zero. J'ai appris le français pour deux ans á l´école  - and that was more then 20 years ago.
So, mayby you can help me out with some translated stuff, so I can translate from English to German?

Best regards, Heiko

PS: I just sended a PM to Esteren to grant me access to the section "Secrets d´Esteren". I´m very curious what to find in there :D
Best regards, Heiko

 Nothing of the sort, just a personal variant of the term that I remember being used when I first joined the internet community in the days of Fidonet. :)

While this is true, I find that there are definitely a few problems with Kickstarter, and how the funding is raised for some of the projects. Sure, I like the nifty little special perks that one gets, but the sheer amount of money spent at times - Yikes! :(

As for the web shoppe for the game, well yes, I hope someone from the official team answers this one. Just makes me wonder a bit at times whether there are actual stores where you can buy the game, but more importantly, why one can't buy the English version of the GL Screen and some of the other items like the map, in stores. A webstore would certainly help with this stuff, and make the game more accessible.

That would be fine with me. I might even be able to give you a bit of help translating some of the material to German, but we'll see. :)

Hullo, JohnK,

I bought my Book 1 from an german RPG online retailer last week. And I think when the second KickStarter is over, people can buy Book 0 from their local retailers from December on. Mayby even the new GL screen, who knows? The CD with the music can be bought on amazon. All the other goodies, like printed maps, T-Shirt´s etc. could be offered in a web-shop. That would be a nice idea.
That would be fine with me. I might even be able to give you a bit of help translating some of the material to German, but we'll see.
I updated my signature. Mayby you can me send a mail with some of your translated stuff :D That would be nice. You want to tranlate to German? Also sprichst Du auch Deutsch :?: I´m very impressed.
Best regards, Heiko
