I use music and sound loops when I gm, and finds it very effectfull and a great tool.

If you use sound effects, or would like to use it then I think this kickstarter is something you should take a look at
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/128 ... le-playing

It got different setting loops, but also some great fantasy (Shadows of...) and horror sound loops.

I use my iPad as a tool when I gm. Got my Shadows pdf on it, dice app, notebook app and my sound effect player.

In that regard I got some great apps I would like to tell you about.

I use an app called Soundboard. its a exelent sound effect player, but its rather expensive. http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/soundboard-ipad/

But there is also another app that looks great. I havent had the time to test it out yet. Its free, and a pro edition that costs money. If someone tries this app I would love to read a review :)

There is also another app. Its called Sounslate http://www.spinthought.com/ . Its great, but had a tendensy to crash so i removed it and rather bought Soundboard.

Golly, that's some dedication! I'm always impressed to see how far role-playing game sessions can go with nifty props, tools, apps, and softwares.

However, as far as I'm concerned, I'm a rather old-fashioned Player / GL : as a Player, all my notes are handwritten (one fellow Player once asked "Got that recorded in your Dead Sea Scrolls?"), and as a GL, I mostly use a computer to play music (from various sources, generally videogames) or to show illustrations to the Players. Not very tech-savvy, I know!

Thanks for your advice and suggestions concerning sound effects. It's always good to see people sharing some insight!
Allez, come on, allons-y, here we go, en avant, godspeed, hardi, let's do this!
