Hi everybody!

I have already posted in this forums without introducing myself, how impolite!

I am from Barcelona (Spain) but I am currently living in Belgium. I have been playing role play games for already twenty something years. One of my favourite games are Rune Quest, Call of Cthulhu, Warhammer Fantasy (1st and 2nd ed), Star Wars WEG ed, The One Ring, Middle Earth (more out of nostalgia), Dark Sun (Ad&D 2ed) and Ars Magica.

I am very happy to have fund Shadows of Esteren. I always wanted to combine and horror investigative game like Call of Cthulhu with a medieval fantasy setting, and here it is! And sweetly done!

Keep up the good work guys!

You are a very, very bad man for not having introduced yourself up until now, but for your large experience of role-playing games and kind praise, your life will be spared!

Instead of "Welcome!", I'll say carry on, friend!
Allez, come on, allons-y, here we go, en avant, godspeed, hardi, let's do this!

Hello my name is Gary and I am a long term gamer. I am not an addict, I can give it up any time I want to. I just choose not to. :D
I live in Devon and was shocked to realise the other day that I have been gaming for 30-ish years next year.
I have played most things, starting with Tunnels & Trolls, 1st Ed D&D, through GURPs, WFRP, Scion, Vampire to this amazing French game you may have heard of.
At the moment Shadows and Scion are at the top of my list for favourite games. Scion, not for the mechanic, but for the amazing things the characters can do. Both are very good for story.
I am close to gaming nerdvarna having three gaming groups a week.
I am mostly a GM, but do occasionally get to play. I have now managed to addict two of my groups to Shadows. It wasn't difficult.
I am looking forward to see where the writers are going to take it.

Greetings fellow Gamers!

My name is Steffen and i'm from Germany. I've been playing RPGs for almost 10 years and my favourites are 7th Sea and Shadowrun. I've found Shadows of Esteren Book 0 with a package for a local convetion and took over the GL position. Now i'm here, almost finished reading in book 1 and i love it :D

Have a peaceful and Feond-less night

Hello and welcome, RIddle! Shadows of Esteren is quite different from 7th Sea and Shadowrun, but I have no doubt that you will enjoy it! Feel free to let us know about your personal experience!

Hi all

I'm Phil, 37 years old and living in Christchurch, New Zealand. I have been playing, and GMing RPGs for around 25 years, starting with AD&D2. Over the years I have played a massive variety of games including RuneQuest (2, 3, MRQ2, RQ6), Earthdawn, Shadowrun (2, 3, 4), D&D (BECMI, AD&D, 3.x, 4) Warhammer 2, Call of Cthulhu, CWoD, nWoD, Unisystem (Angel, Buffy, Witchcraft/Armageddon, Con-X2.0, Ghosts of Albion etc), Hero, Dresden Files RPG, Dungeon World... The list goes on.

I tend towards urban fantasy and/or horror, but have always loved dark fantasy, which is why SoE is so great.

I have just discovered SoE and am planning to GM a game as soon as my groups current game ends. It is exactly the game I have been wanting for a while, with the right level of crunch and awesome flavour. It is remarkably similar in tone and flavour to (although not all the details) to a game I ran with RuneQuest 6 for some of our local club members last year. If only I had known then, I would have used Shadows instead!

Welcome, Phil (it's much easier to pronounce than zcthu3)! That's an impressive resume you've got there! Glad to have one more RPG veteran among us!

"exactly the game I have been wanting for a while"? That's flattering! I hope that your experience of the game will be on a par with your enthusiasm. If it is, you'll surely have wonderful sessions!

Hello All

I'm Shawn,
I currently live in Staten Island NY, were i work for Wagner College as the Master Carpenter for the Theatre Department. I have been gaming now for 24 years and have either played in or been the game master in: D&D, AD&D, 3.5, Pathfinder, The entirety of the World of darkness system both new & old, L5R 1st-4th ed, Deadlands, Gurps, Hero system, Call of Cthulhu, Delta green, Iron Kingdoms, and several homebrew systems.

This year at Gencon as i walked the isles exhibit hall early Thursday i happened upon the booth were i proceeded to look through every item there and talked with pretty much everyone ( you were all awesome) after which i left, i then repeated this 3 times on Friday and each time those i talked with went over everything with me each time and were great to talk with, so on saturday I decided to buy big money everything bundle and i could not be happier, the setting it so rich with potential, and the art though out all the books is simple moving and really sets a the visual tome for the setting.

I am looking forward to many games run in the Shadows!

Hello,

The name is Kim,
I am from the West Tennessee area and I have fallen in love with this game. I have been gaming for about 15 years. Some D&D, white wolf, pathfinder, and my current game of Shadowrun. I did attempt to run one game which was OK. Finding this game makes me want to try again.

I found you guys at GenCon and will be sharing with everyone I know. I am eager to learn more about the game.

K Howell.
