stepanxol a écrit :again, I took the liberty of distributing the glossary
It was a good idea, no problem !
stepanxol a écrit :That said, play by post is really slow, so if Esteren takes hold and we start actually playing, I'll have all books and PDFs in my hands way before finishing the intro scenarios!
I know that, I also play by forum ^^
Here are the archives of my campaign :

Oooh this is fantastic! Congratulations on keeping going for so long - I hope to do the same...
If I read the whole thing from start to finish, I'll be a fluent french speaker by the end

I wish you the same duration too !
There were different teams, some players present since the beginning, others coming, disapearing... Actually, the chapter 12 is a new beginning for a team of two players, in parallel to other adventures in chapter 9 (chapter 10 is finished, chapter 11 is not totally clear who will play in it). It's like a web ^^

You can begin directly Chapter 12 : the characters of Blodwen and Aeldred are two new ones and they explore a territory in which I didn't play before.

Hello, I am Jason.
I am a professor of literature in the USA and am a big fan of narrative based RPGs. Played D&D as a kid and then Warhammer Fantasy RPG in college but this was many years ago. I recently jumped back into RPGs, in an online group that played The One Ring. It was fun for a while, but was not terribly satisfying in the ling run.
I purchased SoE at GenCon 2015 and have been looking on and off for a group to play with. Very hard to find. Hopefully if I can be more active on these boards I might find something. The game is wonderfully designed and has a rich narrative architecture that I find very appealing.
I look forward to being a part of the discussions!
Jason

Welcome Jason
Hope you find some players! One thing you can is to look at your local gaming store, if you have one.
If you want to volunteer on proofreading, do not hesistate to contact us : we do our best to translate the books but Clovis is not native english speaker and good proofreading are very helpful,
See you later !

Hello Folks,
I'm a middle-aged gamer who started playing way back in days of yore (pre-AD&D), and got back into it again over the last couple of years after a long absence.
I came across Shadows of Esteren at the Dragonmeet convention in London last year and the atmosphere of the game immediately caught my attention. I bought the books a couple of months ago and am hoping to find a few others in the general area of London UK interested in a game as I've yet to actually play it.
I'm afraid my French is not really up to posting an introduction in the French language forum, at least not one that will be grammatically intelligible

Sorry, we English tend to be rubbish at making the effort to learn other langauges...

Welcome Shaun !
We're happy you liked Esteren's atmosphere
As you're not so well at writing in french, I must try to write in my not-very-good english (well, I understand it much better as I speak & write it ^^)
The most important thing, whatever the language : have fun !
