Hi Jill,T.J. a écrit :Hey Robert, nice to see another UK gamer. When you say you saw the game in Birmingham, was it at the Uk Games Expo? I'm considering going next year, I'd love to hear your experience of it
Yes, it was the Expo at Birmingham, to be honest it was okay, but have to say it was very heavy on the CCG's. Card Game booths and tourneys were most everywhere.
Not to say there weren't some interesting things to see otherwise (Hey, I found Shadows lol) and it was a nice venue, but as a games expo it focussed way to much on the cards for my liking (A card game fan would have loved it).

Re: Introduction of the Members
Greetings Folks!
I've jumped on the forums at the insistence of Nel upon meeting the crew at GenCon this year. I'm a recent convert to Shadows of Esteren as I caught it on the latest Travels Kickstarter and was drawn in by the world and art. I jumped at the chance to pledge Varigal and get all the essentials so I could play the part of Game Leader to my gaming circle and expose them to such a beautiful game.
My Name is Chris and I'm from North Bergen, New Jersey (a town less than 15 minutes away from New York City) and am a big fan of Call of Cthulhu, old and new World of Darkness, I've dabbled in some Pathfinder, recently got into Eclipse Phase, and now have been struck in awe with Shadows of Esteren. I've been a player for the last 10 years but have become inspired to be a Game Leader.
As it stands now, I've just settled from my roadtrip back from GenCon and was able to devour Book 0 and am now on Book 1. I can't wait to get started!
Best Regards,
Chris

Re: Introduction of the Members
Welcome Katastroph3 !
Very happy to read you discovered Shadows of Esteren this last Kickstarter and decided immediately to become Game Leader !
Hope you'll have a great game time with your friends !
Thinck about sending a message to "Esteren" count to have access to the "Secret" section, you'll find some canvas et scenarios there ... and can talk to other Game Leader about different things you don't want your Players to know
... and... wouaw ! Book 0 and nearly Book 1 in only... three days since the GenCon ?!

Re: Introduction of the Members
Thanks for the suggestion Iris!
We actually drove to GenCon from NJ so a 10 hour ride back was more than enough time to complete Book 0. I also like to keep momentum so I couldn't stop reading

Hello there, my name is James. As I said over on the French version of this thread, I am Canadian, and I've just purchased books 0 and 1 at FanExpo in Toronto. I'm definitely looking forward to getting into this game and this community.

As I said in the french part, Welcome !
If you want to become Game Leader, don't hesitate to write to "Esteren" to ask access to the "Secrets" section, where Game Leaders talk about their scenarios, game aids and so on !

Re: Introduction of the Members
Hi
I'm Simon from Ireland. I've been a fan of Esteren since the first Kickstarter, where I discovered the beauty and darkness of the game world and the passion and honour of the team that created it. There's no going back for me now - always a fan of Celtic-flavoured settings, Esteren has taken top spot in my setting ratings and as a GM I can't wait for Books 3 and (especially) 4.
I run erratic sessions for my teenage kids and their friends and hereby proclaim my true geek nature and fanboyhood by admitting I bought the Esteren t-shirts for the whole of the group in the Book 0 KS!
