Hello,
Does anyone know what King Dalenverch IV's coat of arms looks like? Or some of the elements.
In my upcoming game I hope to play a Blade Knight who is related to the royal family (2nd cousin, once removed: https://soe.obsidianportal.com/characte ... n-macinnes) and wanted to include an element of the Arms in my own shield.
(apologies if this is in the wrong section)

Est-ce que quelqu'un sait ce que les armoiries du roi Dalenverch IV ressemble? Or certains des éléments.
King Dalenverch IV coat of arms?
Re: King Dalenverch IV coat of arms?
Hello kdlsmith,
First, know that there is an English section in the forum specifically dedicated to English-speaking members of the community. In the future, it may be more convenient for you to post there instead of in the French section.
Second, since this is your first post here, please take some time to introduce yourself. After all, the forum is about more than simply Q&A, it's also the opportunity for various members of the community to share their views and experience!
Third, you can find Gwidre's (and therefore Dalenverch IV's) coat of arms at the beginning of the "Gwidre" chapter in Book 1, p.70. The illustration on this page should provide you with everything you need to know what your Character's arms should look like!
I hope that you'll enjoy playing your Blade knight, and that we'll have the pleasure of seeing more of you on the forum, whether to tell us about your experiences or to share some insight!

Re: King Dalenverch IV coat of arms?
Hello.
Actually, a Blade knight doesn't wear his family's coat of arm, he wears the Temple's hexcelsis with his order's color, i.e. red. He may just have a fief banner if he is in charge of the relevant unit in the Royal army.
A Gwidrite knight is not mandatory a Blade knight. A lot of knights and lords are laymen.

Patrick Cialf and Clovis,
Thank-you for the information.
1) face-palm about the coat-of-arms! I should have known
2) Stands to reason about the Blade Knight colour: this is Gwidre (not some ostentatious order)
Also good to know about lay knights. I'll probably stick with the Blade Knight and nobility, if only to torque up the political intrigue.

(Will post later conversations, if in English, in appropriate forums.)

Indeed, a member of the Temple must forsake any past affiliations and embrace the Temple as the only order they will live for. Thanks for reminding us Patrick!
