Re: Dhumbear (a small village)
Haha, lol, yeah, its true it not really small considering the setting. As I love the setting in the Hârn rpg's it will be quite detailed :) When the time is right to write up some more secret stuff I can ask for it to be moved :) I'll have a quick overview as soon as i am finished reading the whole ...

Re: Rules for bigger battles
Do you mind telling us more about that system? "A song of Ice and Fire" rpg is great and I bet we'll appreciate even better if we can make something out of it for Esteren :D Let me digest the SoE rules fully, and I'll see if can make a max two page rules-set for Mass Battles integrating the basis o...

Re: Adventures for Shadows of Esteren
About that, we have fallen behind in writing. So if we want to give you something it will be more a plan than a complete scenario : description of the monastry, some pre-mades, description of important NPP and the storyline. You'll have to adapt the rest. Is it a problem ? iz Not at all, the advent...

Re: Dhumbear (a small village)
Hey, Great news, I can't wait to see the village coming alive :D Do you draw maps as well? The reason why I ask is because I had in mind to set up a style for Esteren maps. There isn't anything very obvious in the book about maps' style and it would be great to create some sort of benchmark (at lea...

Re: Rules for bigger battles
I kind of guessed on this answer
If there will not be a system like this, I do think that the mass combat roles from A Song of Ice and Fire could be used, with very little rules hacking.
No, sadly I can not read french - otherwise I would have bought a few French only rpg's already hehe

Re: [EN] Adventures for Shadows of Esteren
Plop, Another GM asked us an adventure with monks, because he want deals with religion. Because the "Monastère de Tuath" is not again translate we are writing one to him. You, what kind of adventure would you like to play ? iz And I am still very grateful for you helping me coming up with that adve...

Rules for bigger battles
I have not finished the book, but I am quite certain this is not in the core book. Combat between small units or all out war - will there be rules for such things or only as a backdrop for the setting. I know that if one of my players want to play a person of more nobility - this question would arise.

Dhumbear (a small village)
I have gotten the book a couple of days ago, but its firstly now I get to read it properly (even though I had the pdf). So now I want to start making a small village, with maybe a couple of hundred people living on the border between the old and new religion. A village that is split in its faith. I ...
