Will the canvases we run this year be the same as last year? Or are there new ones?

For NPCs I typically look at the my PC's characters sheets and fudge what I think will be a challenge from that. I know it's a bit early, but since Wish List registration is up, and the 18th is coming fast, I was wondering what presence Shadows of Esteren will have at GenCon.

I didn't see any games available to register for. Is the plan to repeat what was done last year this year?

A players asked me about them and I didn't have a solid answer: Are there magical items in the game? My player is from a D&D background, and you can't swing a cat without hitting a magical item in that game. I didn't think there were, I didn't recall reading about any, but I wanted to ask to be sure.
