"Traditional Medicine" and "Herbalism" Disciplines
"Traditional Medicine" and "Herbalism" Disciplines
What are these Disciplines used for? The rules say that only the First Aid or Medicine Disciplines can be used to help someone recover lost health points, so they apparently can't be used for that. "Traditional Medicine" gets a mention as being used for determining the correct dosage for using sedatives to end a Crisis, but that's all.
Re: "Traditional Medicine" and "Herbalism" Disciplines
Actually, that's one of the problems of the Disciplines: since an exhaustive list of them cannot be made, it would be difficult to mention each possible Discipline for such or such action, which may lead to unclear situations such as the one you mention. However, once more, we're back to basic common sense: although it doesn't say exactly that "Traditional Medicine" can be used, it's obvious that you can use it to tend to a wounded person.
"Traditional Medecine" and "Medicine" aren't so different game-wise, and can almost always be used for the same things. It's just that "Medicine" (Science) is more about using logic and scholarly training to cure an illness, dress a wound, etc. whereas "Traditional Medicine" (Demorthèn Mysteries) is made of methods, recipes, and knowledge passed down from Demorthèn to Ionnthén.
As for most Discipline, "Herbalism" speaks for itself: picking plants? Yes. Making remedies? Sure. Brewing a poison? Why not? Dressing a wound? Not so much.
Hope that makes things clearer!
GLs and Players are encouraged to discuss such points to determine with reasonable accuracy which Discipline can be used for what, and what the difference is between two similar Disciplines.

Allez, come on, allons-y, here we go, en avant, godspeed, hardi, let's do this!
Re: "Traditional Medicine" and "Herbalism" Disciplines
Thanks, Clovis. That's how I was thinking, but I wanted to verify it since the rules stated those two Disciplines specifically.
