Re: Technical issues and updates
It's not just the downloadable characters, though: it's also the clues from Loch Varn. Given that the text says you can download them, those downloads need to be online by the time someone buys the product. In the meantime I can grab screenshots from my KS pdf, but it looks bad if a product is refer...

Re: Nonlethal Combat
Clovis is right about just how dangerous "nonlethal" combat can be, and it's actually really difficult to knock someone out deliberately. A more relevant distinction is armed/unarmed, where the latter has a much higher risk of the attacker injuring himself, even on a successful attack.

Re: Combat
Yeah. I'd be happy saying that matching the Defense counts as a touch, if it comes to ruling about, e.g., powers and miracles.iznurda a écrit :If you give no damage consider your hit is too weak to hurt your opponent but you touch him.

Re: Combat
I thought you have to have 16, ties go with the defender. Does it specify that anywhere in the rules? I figured that the Attack had to equal the Defense, just like when you roll a skill check your result only needs to equal the difficulty threshold, not go over it. I agree that comparing Defense to...

Re: Natural 10, natural 1, and critical successes and failur
Another option:
If you roll a 1, reroll.
On a success, it's a critical success.
On a failure, it's a critical failure.
Would that work? It's simple and takes account of skill, but makes criticals more common (much more common, actually).

Re: Some Power Clarification
My second question regarding this is, why are the Demorthen's friends at risk? Is the Demorthen rolling to activate the power, and the must roll to hit something? Or is the result of who gets hit random? I wondered this as well. On the one hand, we have a maximum range for a target (e.g. 50yds). On...

Re: Knocking Out the Opponent
I like iznurda's ideas a lot. To take account of the PC using the butt of the sword instead of the blade, I'd rule that the use of any weapon counts as a club/cosh. They'd do either 1 damage (for smaller, lighter weapons) or 2 (for heavier ones). I also think that someone using a two-handed maul sho...

Re: Potions and Medicines: Doses and Addiction
Thanks for the explanations - you guys have done an excellent job in keeping the rules short and, in the vast majority of cases, very clear. I just get confused easily.
